    From 1826 till 1931 the Orangemen never attempted to hold their walk in Ballinamore, or in the immediate neighbourhood.

    Those young heroes foiled the enemy,
    As their grandsires did of yore,
    Who routed the Orange invaders
    From the town of Ballinamore.
    So shall go down in History,
    The names of that gallant band,
    Who boldly met the challenge
    To defend Faith and Fatherland.
