    Here's a health to you, dear Fr.Hugh (Cassidy) †
Long may you guide your flock.
O Connell brave, 'twas he that gave
The Black Nibs their first knock.
And George the Fourth; long may you roast,
    And shortly lose your crown!
    But Ballinamore forever more
    To keep the Orange down.

The last verse differs from Tom Creamer's version.
† Fr. Hugh referred to was Fr. Hugh Cassidy, P.P, Ballinamore who lived where Mr Francis Prior, Contractor, now lives in Ardrum.
Fr. McGovern who was afterwards Bishop of Ardagh & Clonmcnoise built the Catholic church in Ballinamore in 1820. Additions and improvements were made on it since. Fr. Hugh became P.P after McGovern.
