    drawing flax to the mill to-day and if his people only knew that a handful of thatch from over Susie the Spriggers house would liberate him if burned on a shovel under his head. The boy however took the good people at their word and went as quickly as he could to Susie the Spriggers took the thatch from over the door and off to Mullnavannugh Mill where he lit the straw. To the consternation of all, the mule shook off the harness scampared down the road in the direction of the Smiths home. All were delighted to see Billie. He never gave any explanation to the public but the mule was never seen afterwards.
