    This happened at Aughacashel many years ago. My uncle and another man was coming from a fair.

    The man of the house tapped the fork three times against the floor saying "keep quiet down there". Immediately all was silent for awhile, but it started again, and each time it started, the man repeated the tapping and each time, all was silent.
    When the men saw the first dawn of morning, they took to their heels and were glad to get out of sight of the haunted house.
