    Mortuary Chapel
    This little chapel is situated at the corner of main Street and Bridge Street. it was built by edward Costello R.I.P. It was his dying wish that he and his wife should be buried before the altar. The chapel is closed, but anyone who likes to visit it may do so with permission of the care-taker, Mrs. Frayne, Carrick-on-Shannon.
    Headstone: Kiltoghert Graveyard
    In Kiltoghert graveyard there is an unusual headstone. On the stone is carver a loaf or bread, a roll of butter, and a candle. These engravings refer to a monastery or guest-house which
