  1. I have heard my father speak of two old schools in my district about which his father told him.
    One of these schools was in an old byre belonging to the Mc Crann family of Liscallyroan, Carrick on Shannon. Co. Leitrim. The people were taught reading, writing and arithmetic and they called them the "Three Rs" also Catechism and bible stories.
