  1. A Lime kiln: -
In broderick's land in the district of Coilagurteen there is a large kiln. It was built there in year 1889, and in the year 1920 it was last used. The people used to go to Ballintogher in the parish of Lixnaw for limestone, and burn it in that kiln. There is a door in the side of the kiln, and when the lime stone comes it is put in there. They set fire to it underneath, and leave it burning for about an hour.
