  1. Once upon a time four men were working in a field at Carrueragh, one of them was "Pá" Drury the wit and poet of the Parish. They were called to dinner. They came in and sat around the table.
    The bacon they got, was tough and hard. "Pá" after tasting it, raised his eyes and said:
    O God on high, who rules the sky,
    Look down upon us four,
    And give us meat that we can eat,
    And take away this boar.
