the pigs. An incident did happen during churning about fifty years ago. It happened in my house not in my family but in a Cunningham family which is now dead out. One day this Cunningham woman named Abby. She was churning this day when a man came in and sat down. He was known as a wizard. He would not churn for her. When she had churned there was no butter on the milk. When he went home, his wife was churning. After a few minutes it was churned and she was not able to move the dash with all the butter was on it. He and his wife made it up and tried to sell it but he failed and it rotted. That gave rise to the proverb, "Ill gotten goods never prosper."
