  1. About fifty eight years ago my grandmother tells me we had the biggest rain that she ever remembers of. The lightning killed a pig on one neighbour near us and burned a rick of straw on another and a rick of hay on another. The rain flowed into the houses to a depth of two feet. It lasted about four hours.
