  2. There is a holy well in Massinass called St. Colmcille's Well. They visit it at any time. The people leave prayer books and beads behind them when they visit it. There is also a well at Doon and Derryreel.

  3. Red-root is a very common weed which appears usually in very dry ground. It has a very long root which runs along like a shamrock. Milk-thistle is another weed which spoils ground where potatoes grow. But
