There is a path called the "Cob Road" in the townland of Rockhill in the land which belongs to Robert Algeo. This path is a short-cut to Port-na-blagh, and it is not much in use now-a-days. It was made during the Famine and the payment the workers got was potatoes called "Cobs".
The "shore road" leading to Port-na-blagh was also made during the Famine period.

The new road from Rockhill to Marblehill.
The Sessiaghlough Road which runs along the lough.
The Dundredian Road from Faugher to Marblehill and the Marblehill Road.
The "Cob Road" got its name because they used to cart potatoes along it to the pier at Port-na-blagh. The pier at Port-na-blagh was built during the Famine days. The pay was eight pence a day or a bag of meal.(continues on next page) - Collector
