   Local Cures
   An old cure for a sore knee is cabbage leaf and hogs lard and put it to the knee.
   A cure for a whittle on your finger is get a little bag and fill it with cow dung and put it to the finger.
   The cure for measles is sheep’s saffron, boil it in milk and drink the milk.

   Local cures There are many cures for a cough, but one good cure is to get a good sized turnip, do not peel it (put) but wash it well. Then cut it in four slices, place it in soup plate putting the slices one upon the other. Between the slices put castor sugar. Leave for an hour or two until the castor sugar is melted. When the person gets the cough, give him a couple of spoonfuls.
