  2. Local cures
    There are many cures for a cough, but one good cure is to get a good sized turnip, do not peel it (put) but wash it well. Then cut it in four slices, place it in soup plate putting the slices one upon the other. Between the slices put castor sugar. Leave for an hour or two until the castor sugar is melted. When the person gets the cough, give him a couple of spoonfuls.
