    floor to themselves. No man would be allowed to dance until the wattlers got a dance first. The wattlers were often called "Strawboys" A strong wattler would be put in charge of the barrel of porter so that no wattler could get any. In order to have luck the bride wore something old, and something new, something borrowed, and something blue. It is said, Monday for health, Tuesday for Wealth, and Wednesday the best day of all. Thursday for crosses, Friday for losses, and Saturday no luck at all. It is unlucky for the bride to visit her old home until the Sunday after she's a month married.
