  1. God bless Friday and Good Friday too,
    That was the day our Saviour, was crucified.
    The crown of thorns was put on his head.
    The Jews passed by with sharp planes to put in our Saviour's heart
    His tender Mother standing by making heavy moans and hard cries.
    Jesus with branch and Mary with a flower.
    I give my heart and soul to thee at my dying hour.

    Whoever says this prayer three times a day and three times a night shall never enter into hell or purgatory.
    As I went into a blessed field, Holy Virgin Mary I chanced to meet,
    Seven brass books in her hand, seven bells ringing, seven priests singing,
    Lock the gates of Hell, open the gates of Heaven and let the poor souls in.
