    refused. He offered five shillings but they still refused but one man said that if Mr Nolan gave him ten shillings he would let it go. He agreed and the man let it go. As soon as he did an enchanted woman came out of the little island of the lake and went to the man's house and set fire to it and burned it to the ground.
    When Mr Nolan saw this he was afraid to take the water of the lake so he did not build the mill.
    The place where the cutting or canal was made is still pointed out. The man whose house was burned was called white and he lived in the village of Sgárdán(?).
