  1. A story about the robin is told to us. When Our Lord was crucified on Mount Calvary the robin seeing Him had compassion on Him. He tried hard to get the nails out of His feet and hands, but to his grief it was impossible for him to do such hard work. He dried the blood on his breast in order to see the nails plainly, and ever since then the blood remained on his breast and of all the other robins.
