    Marriage Customs
Long ago people used to go the Church on horse back, and the married couple went on one horse, and all the others went on their own horses across fields, and as they would be crossing fences some women would fall off on account of how fast they were going, and to see who would be the first at the house of the newly married couple.
When they came home a dinner of potatoes and cabbage and bacon was prepared for them, which was enjoyed by everyone.
The men wore a high black hat and a frieze coat, and the women wore a small square
