    The smashing of the [?]
    It was in September I well remember Two noble heroes to Manchester came. It was their intention I now shall [?] To free old Ireland from the tyrants chain The police viewed them as if they knew [?] And to pursue them the did not fail For they did surround them, and with handcuffs bound them They marched them prisoners to the County [?] When young Allen heard those men were taken To O Brian and Larkan he quickly flew Saying for Kelly and Deasy my heart is breaking O loyal comrades what shall we do
