    Hallowe'en
    On Hallowe'en all the children are very excited. When the barm brack is cut up, the children are anxious to see what each one gets in it. After the tea we get two sticks and nail them together, and tie a twine out of the top of the sticks and hand the whole out of the ceiling. A nut, an apple can, a snob [?] of a candle and a piece of soap
