    The potatoes are cut into pieces with buds on them but the part without buds are given to the pigs because they wont grow.
    The local people help each other nearly always in sewing and digging potatoes.
    The potatoes are wed during the Summer and sprayed to protect them from the blight. In the Autumn they are ploughed up and the farmer roots them out of their clay and his picks them.
    The potatoes are stored un a pit and covered well with straw and clay to protect them from frost and rain.
