The trout squealed as well as any Christian crathur and my dear you'd think the soldiers would split his sides laughing, for he was a hardened villian, and when he thought it was cooked on one side, he turns it over to fry the other, what would you think, but the divil a taste of a burn was on it at all, at all, and sure the soldier thought it was a quare trout that could not be cooked. But says he "I'll give it another turn by by" little thinking what was in store for him,
