  1. A master tailor who was about to die called the employees to give a last advice. They all went expecting some sage counsel: The dying man spoke as follows:-
    "Never begin to sew without putting a knot on your thread."
    More haste, less speed
    Like the tailor and the long "threed"
    A Journey-man tailor named "Montgomery" was able to thread a needle behind his back. (he died about 35 yrs. ago)
    Stuff used:-
    Donegal Tweeds,
    Foxford or Blarney Tweeds.
    Grey Flannels for Summer.
    Serges of many descriptions.
    A nice serge suit (not a ready-made) would cost at the present here in the country between £4 . 10 and £5 . 0
    The usual price paid for making is 25/- 30/- according to the abilities or fame of the tailor.
