A pipe can be made from a spool. Knock off the "flange" from one end of it. Hollow out the centre with a pen knife. Make a hole for the handle near the bottom, & insert shank many a child a toy of this kind amused.

Dolls can be made from rags or from remnants of wool

Doll's houses and furniture from old matchboxes.
