People who have internal disease drink the water, but for anything external they bathe it with the water.
It is said that the water from this well will not boil.

Over the front of the well is a large flat stone, on which is written-
"Here Angels guard my sacred cell,
My sloe, my nut, my apple and my well."

In the grove which surrounds the well are sloe bushes, nut trees and apple trees.
