    Herbs
    The thistles and nettles and dock weeds are the most harmful weeds growing on our farm. They choke up the corn and will not let it grow.
    The thistles and nettles, docks, and bushes grows on good land. The Irish bushes and briars grow on poor land.
    These are some of the herbs that the animals can eat "Pig Meat", "Sowthistle" and "Nettles".
    The chicken weed, lambs quarter and fairy flax which are a nuisance spread rapidly on the land.
    The blackberries and slows are used for dyeing purposes and the pennywort is poisonous.
    The dandelions and the fox gloves have medicinal properties. The fox gloves are used for making a tonic for the heart.
