- Ballyconnick Well
The Ballyconnick well in the district of Cleariestown is a very old one and is used for curing warts. The people around have a custom of getting a bottle of this water and laying it at the head of their sister's or brother's grave.
This well is situated in the ruins of the old church and the water itself dwells in a cut stone.
Some people say that it is the holy-water font which belonged to the old church.- Collector
