    During the time when the landlords owned all the land in Co Longford many heroic stands were made by the tenants to hold their lands and home steads. The people at that time were very poor and were unable to pay the rack rents and many families were evicted out of their homes.
    The late Fr Thomas Conefry was parish Priest in Drumlish during the land war. He led the people to victory. The late Lord
