    When men were bing sentenced to jail Captain Fetherston asked could he be sworn in court "Certainly" said the magistrate. Then he told he hocked his own cattle and that the steward was witness to it.
    The men were released and dragged home the carriage for Captain Fetherston and Newel was put in jail for life.
    The Driscoes and Fethersons keep that title not Fetherstonhough from the hocking of the cattle.
