  2. Mrs Concannon, maternity, nurse, Raharney. age 65 (since dead) tells the following.-

    In some houses on occasions of maternity pains or "labour" . I have seen the old women spread the husband's trousers over the patient in pain. I do not know what was the significance of the Custom.
