  1. A story of a woman who used to suck cows.
About 280 years ago when the Charleses lived where Gilsons live now in Grangebeg. There was a woman living at the bottom of Gartland's garden and she was a witch.
When Charleses used to go out to milk the cows they could not get any and they thought someone was taking the milk from them.
One night they went out and watched and saw a big hare sucking one of them. They followed the hare and she led them on to the house and she turned into her own form. Then the men knew who was taking the milk from the cows.
From Mrs. Casserly, 70 years old.
    Grangebeg, Raharney.
