  1. On St Brigid's day the people light fires in the fields. On St Patrick's day people wear green brooches, and others wear shamrock in honour of St Patrick, because it was he who brought the true faith to Ireland and taught it with a four leaf shamrock. On Shrove Tuesday we make pancakes. On May Eve we put up a may bush, and decorate it with flowers also we sing around it.
