On Mr Moore's land in Mooretown there is a pagan burial ground, which is believed to be 1,000 year B.C. The remains are laid in long trenches covered with stone and placed one after the other. The bones, teeth and nail are well preserved, and seem to be of a giant race.
It is certain that there is a Christian burial ground in Mullahwillan, beside Hoghill bridge. The old holy water stone still remains. It is believed to be very old.
