  1. Seán Treacy lived in Soloheadbeg close to my house. He lived in a large farm. He was an only child. His father died when he was about the age of six years. As a school boy he had a great live for the Irish language. When he left school he joined the Volunteers. He was in the taking of the gelignite at Soloheadbeg when two police men were shot. He fought with Seán Hogan and Dan Breen in several ambushes. He was shot in Dublin in Talbot Street in 1920.
    He is buried in Kilfeacle.
