- Long ago people used make the bread of oats. They had no creamries that time and they used to we the bread with water.
Sometimes the people used make the bread with oatmeal. At that time the oatmeal was scarce, and seldom they had oatmeal bread.
Wheat was grown locally in Inch (Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary) and it was said to be the best wheat in the Country. There were no bakers at that time.
