  1. 1. Sheet soaked in dew early morning
    Dew-soaked sheet placed where cows are housed. - Milk deprived of butter fat.
    2. Spancils used at milking stolen, and placed on crane over fire. Charm words read. Butter taken
    (3) Oarcase of calf placed where cows are housed, or stale eggs placed in hay rick.
    (4) Milk in churn turns sour, and no matter what charming takes place butter cannot be produced.
    (5) Remedies: -
    A coulter of plough made red hot in fire and the sign of the cross made with the heated iron on the churn was efficacious of removing the curse.
