    In this townsland about 80 years ago there lived a man named Billy Ryan.

    In this townland about 80 years ago there lived a man named Billy Ryan. Every Saturday he took a coarse twenty stone bag and started for Limerick 13mls away. He walked to and from and brought with him on his back all the small messages required by the neighbours.
    There was also a man named Power in this district and he was able to jump over three horses side by side.
