    I have heard some interesting tales of (a) Ghost and Famine (b) Lights, (c) Persons going astray (d) Funerals.

    in front was the postillion - I can see his two shining boots today - and inside I saw the big gentleman with a big top-coat and a caroline hat. It passed us and we came home.
    (Note: The “headless coach” was supposed to travel about near and at that place. The gentleman Mrs. Sheehan maintains she saw was Mr. Cronin Duggan who lived once where the Presbytery is now and who did some terrible things in his time)
    Another of Mrs Sheehan’s stories and experiences (persons who were supposed to be going with the fairies or ‘good people’). There was a man named Davy Burke living in a cabin in Raheen and my brother Thade was going that way with butter one day when Davy met him. They were talking about the crops and Davy said that we had fine gardens - the finest he saw in his travels. Well we had the finest gardens around that year but Davy was old and crippled and never came that way to see them. but poor Davy, they said, used to be going with the fairies and I’d believe it after that.
