  1. "The Game Bridge" is half way between Newcastle and Waterloo. It is in the townland of Garrycloyne, and in Blarney Parish. In olden times all the young boys and girls around used to meet there on Sundays and hold a pattern and have great "game" as they say in the country. Thus it got the name "The Game Bridge".
