Cúm Garbh was at that time covered with furze "higher than any man"
John Sullivan was one of Charles leaders at Culloden. N.B. I have only glanced over that part of Murty's life which has no connection with this locality. I have already done it in detail for Rev. Fr. Ferris P.P. Allihies for his history of the Parish.
