    a little harbour down [?] from the school; that Charles stayed for some time in hiding at Cúm Garbh in the townland of Scriomóig, "i gculaith mná"; that there was also a Seán Ó Súilleabháin of somewhere near Kenmare with him & that they later escaped back to France in M's ship.
    Cúm Garbh was at that time covered with furze "higher than any man"
    John Sullivan was one of Charles leaders at Culloden.
    N.B. I have only glanced over that part of Murty's life which has no connection with this locality. I have already done it in detail for Rev. Fr. Ferris P.P. Allihies for his history of the Parish.
