  1. Song

Song composed by a teacher, Edward J. Murphy late of Curraghroe school, which was sung at a concert to provide funds for the seating of the local church.

    I
Oh! welcome, to old Curraghroe, Boys,
From the Shannon's bright waves and around.
Four your play you'll sure get a shaw, Boys.
In this ancient and historic ground.
For old Curraghroe, suire is famous
For enjoying good jokes, puns and plays
And you'llnever have cause sure to blame us
    For grumbling or crotchety ways.
    II
You come here tonight on an errand
    Of charity, noble and grand
And you'll find a response here to night, Boys
As fine as you'll get in the Land
For putting in seats in your church, Boys.
We're with you child, woman and man
You'll never be left in the lurch, Boys.
For a seat to sit down if we can
