  1. This pot of gold is hidden in Knox. It was put there some years ago by Cromwell. Sir Algernon Coote was trying to put a lake there. He sent ten men one day to shore away the water out of this pond. They got forty yards of a rope and five feet of a grub and let it down to the bottom. Suddenly a Shark jumped up out of the pond and it began to run the men. It had a bull's head on it. When it was half ways out in the field it lay there. The next morning
