   I play flog the top, marbles, skittles, donkey, Jack Stones, cat and dog, lob in the cap, four squares, basketball, hunt the fox, paper chasing, hurling, football, running, jumping, bicycle racing, rings, draughts, ludo. table tennis. Tops Get a piece of stick. Plait two cords together and tie it to the stick. Spin the top with your hand and who ever is able to keep the top up the longest wins the game. Marbles Make a big ring and put two thaws in it. Then two or three boys throw the marbles at the two thaws. If one of the boys knocks out the two thaws. The other boys have to put up two more.

   In August they gather mushrooms to make a sauce called ketchup. This is the juice of the mushroom. Fishing in the local river Dinan, tributary of the nore is practises by many chaps in the school. They fish for brown trout with a rod and line. The rod is not quite full size for most of them.
