    Many years afterwards the fishermen from Co. Waterford side of the Suir were frightened by a phantom which used to appear to them near the courtyard of "Old Court Castle" the residence of Lord Kilmeadon
    The people to whom he appeared stated that he "the Ghost" was a strangely dressed man riding a magnificent white horse. This Ghost often spoke to the fishermen. He told them that he knew where a crock of money was buried and that he would give it to any person who would cross the field alone with him.
