    saw Mr Hamiltons steward coming towards them. They were afraid that if he saw it he might take it from them and bring it back to his master. So they hid it till he passed by. As soon as he passed they went back to get it. When they looked in the place they hid it they couldn't find it.
    They searched the whole day but still there was no trace of the gold. It was never found by anyone after. That was a punishment for their greediness.
    Oldcourt is near the village of Carbury, Co Kildare.
