  2. Some of the country woman say they can tell what kind of a bird (sex) will come out of an egg. To do this they thread a double thread through the eye of a needle. They hold the thread and let the needle swing freely over the egg. If the needle swings from left to right there will come a pullet out of that egg when hatched, but if the needle goes round in a circle the egs contains
