    Long ago there lived a man and he worked for a very rich man.

    About twelve o'clock that night he got ready to go to the stable. He carried four pints of whiskey because he knew that the watchmen were great drunkards. He threw the contents of one bottle on himself when he reached the place. Then he fell down outside the stable as if he was drunk.
    The two watchmen heard the noise outside and they went out. They saw the man lying on the ground and they went to lift him. They carried him into the stable because they thought he was nearly dead.
    When they saw the bottles of whiskey they took it from him and drank it. The man in horseback got so drunk ad drank it. The man in horseback got so drunk that he fell to the ground and remained there and the man at the door fell asleep. Then the thief brought out the horse and he came home on horseback.
    The father went to work again next day and his employer told him that the thief should steal a pair of horses while they were ploughing from the ploughman and guide. When the father went home he told his son what he heard. The son
