Some people put potatoes into a box, and leave them in a loft until buds come on them , and then they are put down in the ground. They are the ones that will grow the quickest. They are called sprouts.
The local names given to the potatoes are as follows, the queen, the Champion, the Epicure, great Scot, Arranbanners, Flounders, and the Date. The Arranbanner is the best potato for growing, here in my district.
