- There is a good deal of weather lore told in this district. Fine weathers approaching when the wild geese take their flight to sea.
Wet weather is due if the sun goes down clouds. A calm blue sea forecasts fine warm and sunny weather. Fine weather is near at hand when the sea-gulls fly to the sea. Wet stormy weather can be expected if they fly inland.
